YouTube Competition Winners – Term 2

Thank you to all students who participated in our Term 2 YouTube competition. We had so many excellent entries. These videos are also on display in our waiting area at Boronia and Carrum Downs. They are being enjoyed by all students and parents. We encourage all students to get involved in this competition again in Term 3. Once again the main prize on offer will be a free term of lessons. Teachers will also select two student videos to be awarded $100 off fees for term 4 of 2015.

To view all entries for term 2 visit our YouTube channel and subscribe. Videos for the school are also posted on our website under the ESSMTube page.

Most Views – YouTube competition

Congratulations to ukulele student Mariana Garcia on having the most views during term 2. Mariana has been learning ukulele for 6 months with teacher Dave Hartney. Her video had over 800 views for the moth of June.

Teacher Awards – YouTube Competition

Teachers have selected two students to receive $100 off their lesson fees during term 3, 2015. The winners of our teacher awards are Jayden Ng and Jesse Vickery.

Jayden has been learning ukulele for one year. The 12 bar blues song he is playing is apart of the repertoire he has learned for the Level 1 ANZCA Ukulele exam. Jayden’s brothers Joel and Joshua also learn ukulele at Eastern Suburbs School of Music in Boronia.

Our second teacher award goes to bass student Jessie Vickery. He is performing the piece Oakland Drive which he will perform next year in as apart of the VCE Solo Performance exam. He is taught at Boronia by Daniel Lijnders.
